We are Jacco and Annika Keuper. We own a Limousine beef cattle operation in Megchelen. The limousine breed is ideally suited as a beef cow, coming originally from the Limousine region of France.

Our cows form a natural couple grazing with their calves and the bulls in the fields. Grazing periods are limited to the environmental footprint capacity of the soil.

Alongside animal welfare, we also value nature and our landscape. We strive to maintain the natural landscape, especially to allow the meadow birds the opportunity to flourish.  In this effort we use as little pesticides as possible, we mow our grass in stages and plant flower borders around our fields.

We cultivate 40 hectares (circa 120 acres) of land in order to feed our animals. Part of this land is located on the grounds of Landfort; we rent this land from the “Gelders Landschap” Foundation. Grass and corn are our primary crops, but we also produce sugar beets (as cattle feed) and other grains.

We butcher a few times a year. On butcher days the meat is ‘day fresh’ and is sold on our property. We also sell frozen meat by appointment. For information regarding availability and to make an appointment, please send us a message at limousinbedrijfkeuper@gmail.com
